Ornate panels, paintings, ghanch (a sort of alabaster), and splendid examples of wood carving. House of a rich merchant, now a museum, Bukhara, Uzbekistan. The house belonged to Fayzullo Khojaev?s father Ubaydullokhoja, who traded in karakul sheep pelts. Fayzullo helped the Bolsheviks to plot against the last Emir and was briefly President of the Bukhara Peoples Republic.
